Research is the foundation to every commercial innovation developed by Alltech. Sel-Plex is a product of scientific dedication and proactive exploration. Through collaboration with universities and institutes worldwide, researchers at Alltech’s Bioscience Centers have demonstrated how Sel-Plex reduces environmental impact, improves animal health, safely supports the agricultural community and benefits food quality. Sel-Plex is also changing the way consumers view and value nutrition and health.

Sel-Plex also works at the gene level. Researchers at Alltech's Nutrigenomics Center have proven how Sel-Plex uniquely alters gene expression in many tissues. Research has shown Sel-Plex to 'turn on' genes related to functions such as fertility and the aging process, thus providing an advantage to producers when it comes to planning for the future.
