David Byrne, former European Commissioner for Health and Consumer Protection has joined Alltech's board as a non-executive director.

[Dublin, IRELAND] - Global animal nutrition company Alltech, has announced that David Byrne, former European Commissioner for Health and Consumer Protection has joined its board as a non-executive director.

Within the animal health sector, Alltech is recognised as a leader in quality assurance and traceability, with the company’s reputation reposing on the AQS - Alltech Quality System. The appointment of Byrne strengthens this commitment to global traceability and quality in the feed industry. Byrne was instrumental in the establishment of European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) and European Centre for Disease Control (ECDC).
