Alltech Appoints Youngest Manager in its History

[Lexington, KY] – Alltech, a global leader in animal health and nutrition, is proud to announce the appointment of Pieter Prinsloo as the manager of Alltech Vermont, which includes the New England territory of Vermont, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Connecticut. At age 23, Prinsloo has rewritten Alltech history as the youngest employee to be promoted to a territory manager position.

“We are delighted to have Pieter step into this leadership role,” said Geoff Frank, North America regional manager. “He is a natural fit due to his excellent training under the current manager, Dallas Shaw, the experience he has obtained in reorganizing the markets and distribution channels in his territory, and the ease with which he relates to our customers.”

With a passion for acting locally, Alltech opened a 16,000 ft.2 office and warehouse in Vermont in 2005 to better serve the New England feed industry through production, distribution, and sales. With 140,000 cows, Vermont has the largest dairy cow population in the New England area.  Alltech strategically located its office and warehouse in Franklin County, Vermont, the 32nd largest county in the United States in terms of dairy cow population. The warehouse is uniquely equipped with a manufacturing facility to produce Yea-Sacc® FarmPak.

Prinsloo was born and raised in South Africa, where he developed a love for the sport of rugby and led his team to two International Youth Club Championships. At Ohio State University, he completed a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science with a minor in Agricultural Economics. He has served as a sales representative for Alltech in the New England territory for the past year.

“I am very excited about this new position and am honored by the support of the Alltech leadership,” said Prinsloo. “I hope to build upon Alltech Vermont’s success with Optigen® in the dairy market, and I look forward to growing Alltech’s aquaculture business in Maine and Massachusetts.”

Prinsloo will be responsible for the operation of the Alltech Vermont warehouse and office as well as the promotion of Alltech’s products throughout the New England region.
