The devastation that took place in the states of Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama as a result of Hurricane Katrina left thousands of Americans dead and thousands more searching for a new way of life.
Alltech provided housing in Lexington, Kentucky and the surrounding areas for four displaced families for a period of six months.
Eastern Europe: Alltech Serbia – Montenegro – Floods in Eastern Vojvodina
The people of Serbia were victims of destructing flooding in May 2005, where many people lost their lives and livelihoods.
Humanitarian action was organized to help the people who suffered from the devastating floods in the eastern regions of Vojvodna (Secanj, Zitiste and Plandiste).
The Board of Directors from Alltech – Fermin contributed by providing 2,000 bottles of drinking water to help reduce further tragic consequences for the inhabitants.
USA: Alltech Educational Fund
Alltech sponsored the construction of a science laboratory at a Lexington, Kentucky school called the Elizabeth Ann Seton Elementary School.
"Alltech is about fun and passion and that's what we want science to be for today's youth,� commented Dr. Pearse Lyons, President of Alltech". It's our hope that these new laboratories will make science fun and encourage the next generation that science is fun and enter with passion".
